The Hot - Hope. This movie just seemed to give me hope. Yes, this stuff doesn't ordinarily happen, but that's why it's beautiful. A chance encounter with so much intrigue, that it stays with Sarah and Jonathan for years. It's true, you have to find out, right? I do believe that if you're meant to be with someone, then it will happen.
The Not - Sarah bugged me at first, with all of her tests. But, you can't blame her, she was feeling an initial connection, and knowing she had a boyfriend, wanted to test this new found dude. The movie was a little corny and maybe TOO much, but it was good.

vampire weekend
The Hot - This movie ended up to be really good. I knew it was mega hyped and that's why I wanted to see it, but I didn't come in with any expectations. I didn't read any of those Stephanie Meyers novels..but figured I'd give this movie a shot. If the movie was good, it should be good on it's own...not with the supplement of the novels.
This movie was full of heart and love. It was honestly a really good love story. It seemed a bit like me to Romeo and Juliet....but the Cullen's were a super cool family who were very accepting. You could really feel the struggle with the vampires, and it was cool.
I also really liked how it wasn't just a random vampire family...and there were others..and then some native wolves too. I liked how they were in Washington because it would always rain. Anyway, good acting, some funny moments and some clever writing makes this a movie I would definitely watch again... multiple times.
The Not - Well, at first I really thought it was corny weird and awkward. The initial scenes with Bella and Edward were just wayy too awkward, and it was weird to see why there was this initial connection, on Bella's behalf. I think that's what I didn't get, is why Bella really loved Edward. I think it wasn't clear enough -- and what I assumed is that he is so different (like herself) and she was drawn to that..and he was also a sexy pale vampire.
Final Shot - Twilight - 4/5

this isn't a horror movie...
The Hot - Ryan Reynolds is a great actor. I'm convinced after this movie. He was great. A little goofy, but this kind of role was great for him..and me. Very happy with it. He played a very together character, and it was believable to get completely lost when everything you care about in the world comes crashing down...though, it did seem a little too comical..but the heart was there.
The Not - The movie was just a little goofy, and what really bugged me is that all that time away from his wife....he wouldn't go back for his daughter...until the very end. I thought that was a little dumb..and the whole theory about just doing whatever he wants and picking stuff was a little much.
Final Shot - Chaos Theory - 3/5

condoms with salad?
The Hot - Great action, with enough story. Well, with some story. Daniel Craig plays this Bond perfectly, and to me, it seems that James Bond is centered around him. Daniel Craig isn't forced into a roll here, and he excels in playing a dude with no regrets, everything he does is awesome, but has a broken soul. So hardcore and amazing.
The Not - I really think this movie couldn't get away from the first movie. I recognize that he's dealing with the loss of his ol' lady...but it seemed like the whole movie hinged on it..and there wasn't enough of 'Quantum of Solace.'
Final Shot - Quantum of Solace - 3.5/5

get that money
The Hot - Very true to the old tv show. Great acting and they definitely got it right. It was an entertaining movie, for sure.
The Not - It was just not the right type of humour, I though. There were still a lot of gags, and Steve Carell isn't at his best in that type of humour. They couldn't really do a lot in terms of story. Not enough of The Rock...and some of the other characters were just a little odd.

NPH
The Hot - It was pretty funny. I think they tried to stick to the same routine as before with a little bit of love story, weed and a drawn out adventure, and that worked for the most part -- and of course, Neil Patrick Harris is Neil Poon Handler. The jokes were sooo original and just awesome.
The Not - It fell quite short of the last one. Not as many funny moments and it just felt a little empty. The troll thing was a little weird...and the George W. Bush thing, too -- but that's part of this movies charm, it's way to just be ridiculous.
Final Shot - Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay - 3/5

my...what? worst title ever
The Hot - Umm....it was kind of romantic...? There wasn't a lot to love, I appreciate the story TRYING to show an unexpected love between two complete opposites and the broken girl who wants to know if it's real. I think the strongest part of the story was the personalities of the main characters.
The Not - As much as I liked the characters roles, they didn't go well together and there wasn't really a connection between them. The whole thing just felt totally disconnected. The strongest and most intriguing part of the movie would be a deeper look into Elisha Cuthbert's character, but the movie just falls short in a lot of places and was very cliche.
Final Shot - My Sassy Girl - 1.5/5

keep rollin'
The Hot - Hilarious. So many hilarious jokes, awkward faces by Paul Rudd, awesome acting. I was especially impressed by Sean William Scott, as he actually seemed to be a great character. He was actually pretty cool. All the KISS stuff was hilarious, man, the movie didn't stop -- no lulls and there were genuine moments of connection. Super awesome. I loved Paul Rudd's character. I loved this movie!
The Not - While there may have been more jokes and Zack and Miri, this movie was not funnier. I thought the 'BS' routine got a little old..but I have to give credit because repeated jokes are genuinely good ones, and for guaranteed laughs from an audience.
Final Shot - Role Models - 4.5/5

be my rock n roll queen
The Hot - Tough. Cool. Awesome. English. Another good Guy Ritchie movie, what was Madonna thinking? This is in the same class as Snatch and Lock Stock. Not a heist movie, just pretty darn cool. It was really funny too. Great mix of characters, really cool camera work. Gerard Butler is a fucking stud.
The Not - Hard to not be reminded of Snatch. It just seemed so familiar. All the characters, were the same types and involved the same ways. Except this didn't seem as clever as Snatch -- because at the beginning of the movie they give away all the connections! They didn't give enough of the 'Old School.'
Final Shot - RocknRolla - 3.5/5

star whores: revenge of the shit
The Hot - Hilarious writing. Perfect acting...I don't normally like Seth Rogen, but Kevin Smith made him awesome. Just hilarious. I probably haven't laughed this hard since Clerks 2..Tropic Thunder seems to have been hilarious. I loved all the vulgarity and nerdy references. It's just perfect Kevin Smith. He's my favourite Writer/Director, because everything he does is what is hilarious to me. Awesome cameos, and Dante was awesome! Darrell was the bomb, too. He was hilarious! Gaaah. Such a good movie! This is top 10 this year for SURE.
The Not - Umm nothing. Maybe not enough Jason Mewes?
Final Shot - Zack and Miri Make a Porno - 5/5
