the reign man

I was excited for this movie from just seeing the poster. A very well put together Don Cheadle, and a raggedy Adam Sandler, and you know some truly powerful acting is going to be shown like a gleaming angel from the heavens.
I didn't even know what the movie was about. I figured it was just about friends, and something with some real movement.

It was the most powerful. Don Cheadle was amazing, and Adam Sandler was terrific. He was so broken, but so put together. The two of them were incredible. What one was on the outside, the was on the inside. It was awesome. I cried. It rocked.
It wasn't a 9/11 movie, but a depressing, overcoming, post-traumatic powerhouse.

So, this was one of the funnier ones. One of the three movies to actually make me fall out of my seat. Talladega Nights was one, and I think Clerks 2 was the other..or 40 Year Old Virgin. Anyways, it was up there with them. It was really funny.
A whole blend of comic masterpieces; Jon Heder and Will Ferrell obviously. Then bring in Will Arnett (Arrested Development), Amy Poehler (SNL), Romany Malco (40 Year Old Virgin), Jenna Fischer (The Office), Rob Corddry (The Daily Show) and then Luke Wilson (The Frat Pack), and you've got a real nice blend, though Jenna Fischer did seem a bit out of place.
Will Ferrell wasn't really typical Will Ferrell either. He was gritter. I really liked it.

Well, for this movie, at first I thought "WTF is my Million Dollar Baby thinking?" I really didn't get why Hilary Swank would do one of these movies. Save them for Julia Styles, or weird b-listers. Then I thought, well, maybe it's not like all those other weird "horror" movies, and it's actually good!

I was dead wrong. I wanted to like it. I really did. As hard as I tried, it was still just like The Omen or any of those other religious horror movies. Predictable twist. Do you really think she would do...the death thingy?! nopzers.
