oh, ho...it was a funny feeling

Hmm, Atonement. Really wasn't what I expected. I expected it to be the greatest love story of all time, then I realized…"This isn't Lord of the Rings.." so maybe it's the 2nd best love story of all time..but that would put it pretty close to the love of Jay and Silent Bob.
Regardless, I wanted tears, mother fucker..like The Notebook..but not as sappy...and it wasn't sappy. It was really just a tale of a dumb girl and the consequences of assumptions. In that sense, it was cool. Different, I guess...but Oscar worthy? Maybe..because of the British Dialogue and solid plot..but entertainment value = poop.
