let it burn

The Hot - Story was solid tight. It was goofy, it was funny and had a lot of cinematic presence. The Coen Brothers are STUDS! The movie was shot and setup in a similar sense of No Country, but the used those suspenseful elements to set you up for comedic moments. Perfect casting and acting, and the movie was just so cool.
Cool genre of movie, and it was a real comedy!

The Not - can't really think of much.

lady was a vamp

The Hot - Just cool. Brad Pitt was great. Tom Cruise was too. Good acting, very cool concept. It was just very original. It reminded me a lot of Meet Joe Black, maybe because of the demeanor of Brad Pitt. It was pretty entertaining and almost funny -- but still a little dark, I mean, they are still vampires.
I really liked the progression of the story, also...and

The Not - It seemed to get a little cornier as the movie went on. I would have liked to see a big more of the progression of Louis having to feed after eating the rats.

Final Shot - Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles - 4/5

shiner

The Hot - Great overall theme, and great setting. very moody, and you can understand why this solitude dominates and evil overcomes. The acting was good, though, the wife was a little annoying, but yeah, good story, GREAT suspense.

The Not - I wish they showed more of him going insane! I understand that the deep solitude will do that to someone, and that they said what was going to happen ... and it happened. I mean, it's good, but nothing really shocking.
