blood money

So, sick ass movie. Daniel Day Lewis is the bomb.
This movie is real, slick and it actually is funny enough, like slapstick style, that it felt like an old 1900's type of black and white movie.
In that sense it was very good, but it was still very rule and ruthless.

What didn't I like? I didn't like the depth. You can follow it and piece it together, but I just wish they went deeper with Daniel Day Lewis' character...but that's only because they made him so awesome.

jew? no!

This was a pretty ill movie.
It was smart, pretty funny, kinda super real. I throw it in my catalogue of The Last Kiss, Garden State, Spanglish and Closer. These are all movies I really love. They are very realistic, filled with emotion and they're not just fluff movies filled with stuff. They're real and have a lot of people learning a lot about themselves.
For me, that's what I'm loving.
Great cast, Juno. You're almost not sure what to think...whether you should laugh your ass off, or think of it a different way.
The only thing I didn't like was the dialogue Maybe a little too much, but it was an excellent movie.

Well, I'm sad to say it was kind of a slow year.
I guess 3rd year of university is a tad diff than the others. Where as the previous years I saw 53 and 55 movies, this year I only saw 32. Kind of sad I guess. This year should be a lot better.
I guess I was 40% busier this year. Actually, I was %100 percent kicking more ass. In 2007, I didn't get a grade below B+...and that was only 2 of them.
Deal. I need to see more movies this year, since I have less girlfriend.

As usual, the way I roll these are movies that I saw in theatres in the 2007 Calendar year. So, I saw Juno last week, so it's not really eligible. This is a hot top 10 though. Hard to finish..like I said I wish I saw more movies. Believe that, like a pig in a chocolate vat. BAAAAAM!

10 - 300
9 - 28 Weeks Later
8 - Bourne Ultimatum
7 - Hot Fuzz
6 - Gone Baby Gone
5 - Superbad
4 - Reign Over Me
3 - Pan's Labyrinth
2 - Sunshine
1 - No Country For Old Men

Honourable Mention - Transformers, Knocked Up, Sicko, Rescue Dawn

The Simpsons was really good too, but I still have no love for animated movies.

Really, I like the Harry Potter movies too, but they're kind of old! Seriously. I realized I haven't considered any of the Harry Potter Movies...it's like an ongoing movie. The Order of the Phoenix was my favorite..and it could probably find a place on here.

The grand dvd total is 274, that's 70 that I got in the past year. Also, pretty low. I think I'll be at 350 next year.

Getcha popcorn ready.
