The Hot - Cool movie. Kind of the first MMA movie -- at least in this sort of sense. It was actually pretty cool -- I liked the family aspect of it, when Jake shows up to his brother's tennis match, that was good, and I ended up liking the mom, too. Good emotion, it was pretty cooool. The girl was hot...and so was the guy.

The Not - A lot of montages, and the story isn't really anything new -- new kid, gets in a fight, wants to win. I would have preferred if he didn't partake in the "Beatdown", but then the movie wouldn't be what it was. It was just kind of typical.

Final Shot - Never Back Down - 3/5

The Hot - Hilarious. Witty, offbeat, makes fun of a lot of stuff. Man, just hilarious. It was so hot. Sexy, funny, so hot right now.

The Not - It took me a long time to understand that there was actually a story. A lot of it may have been really stupid and just random, dumb funny.

The Hot - Ehhh. Charlize Theron. It was entertaining. The special effects were good. It seemed like it was trying to be way too funny. Sure thaere were really well written parts, that starred Jason Bateman. He saved the movie.

The Not - Will Smith is used entirely for box office draw. Charlize Theron was kind of the same. Why would she even want to be in this movie? She didn't have to do any acting -- why not just get some hot little thing to rip it up with more sex appeal? I mean, they had all the swearing and stuff, why not throw in more sex and leave Hcarlize out of them? I realize the purpose of this movie -- Superhero movies have box office success, and we'll release it after Iron Man and The Hulk, because they know those are good movies -- Will Smith will draw people because he's funny and black people like him -- Charlize Theron will attract drama and serious movie-goers -- Jason Bateman will attract all the comedy dudes. BOOM! We've got a great movie.
